Here's An Update!

Y'all guess what? Yup, you guessed it.. I totally fell in love with Texas while I was there in November.. so much that when I was asked to come back, I said Yes!

So, yeah, I'm going to serve MMR in Texas for.. I honestly don't know how long?! But God does! I'm excited that God has called me there for this time in my life. And I'm am looking forward to the wonderful and new adventures He has for me there.

I will also be starting a corraspondance writing course come the beginning of Feb/end of Jan. And I'm real excited about that too. I'll work on that when I'm not helping out in Housekeeping or wherever Dv. Sterrett or IAA - Camps and Conferences has me working.

Tonight was the employee's Christmas Party at the farm where most of my family works. It was a wonderful evening!  I'm gonna miss my bosses and their families. And I can tell already that they are all already missing me. It's hard to go. But my heart seems to be wherever God's heart is beating for me to go, so I'm happy going to Texas.. but it IS hard to leave me well-bound family here in PA -- both family at work, and family at home.

Well, we're (family) is going to watch The Nativity Story yet tonight.. hopefully before it gets too late. I'm starting to label and tag my luggage bags, so we're getting there.  There's still so much to do before I leave at 2:45am on Dec. 26th. But God is in control!

Lots of Love,

Just been busy Packing, Sewing, and trying to fix what I absolutely need into ONE check-in bag so I don't have to take too much on the plan.. We'll see.

And.. tomorrow I work at 3am. Then we do Family Picture that night.. and then Thursday I'm REALLY packing..  (not looking forward to it too much). So yeah, I've been busy.

Looking forward to landing in Texas! That's for sure!

"Take me Back To T.E.X.A.S."

Sooo..... what am I talking about? Well, as God sees fit, I'm gonna be going on a Short Term Missions Trip to Texas. To serve with the CAMP II Apprentice there and going there for two weeks in November.
I have NEVER flown before, in my life! So this could be interesting. Pray that I can finalize a zillion details and that there will still be room on the flights by the time I actually make them.
I'm excited and nervous about this whole idea. But I will get to see my apprentice family in Texas, I'll get to see Dr. Dale and Opal Linebaugh again, I'll get to help with lots of stuff and it'll be a totally new experience for me. So pray that doors continue to open. It's least than 2 1/2 weeks away!

This morning in the barn my older sister's favorite cow #143 died. She was a sweet Jersey cow, too. (Y'all know how much I despise Jersey cows, for the most part. But this was one that I didn't mind, and ofcourse Marsha's girls too.) She cried when I told her that 143 was dead. It was sudden, and nobody knows how she died. I'm sorry for her. Ya know, when you work somewhere you just work at for the job, it's hard when something special there leaves, it makes it harder to stick around. -- I understand how she feels.

My birthday was just this Tuesday. Monday, however, I got the most wonderful blessing, and dream come true. I got to ride a black mustang mare, who had been adopted from the wild years ago my my friend's family, and now she's the gentlest thing ever. I fell in love with her. Someday I will definately want to train and raise a mustang of my own. (Can hardly wait!)

Well, keep up the prayers, especially concerning Texas. I long to see my Apprentice family and many others again! As God sees fit -- "Only God knows what each life holds in store." (personal quote)

Howdy Y'all,

I'm sorry I haven't written on Xanga in a while. My ranch buddies have me spending time on Facebook, and my gmail, and there's so much I'm trying and am doing right now... so I haven't had much time for xanga. But I'll do better, promise.   (I'm not gonna leave yet :)

Okay, so what have I been up to since I've been home from the ranch?

I've been working on the Farm. I am excited to share that I now hold a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from NTBIS. I am spending time at home and with my family. Working on writing stories. And I just filled out a free course for writing children's stories. I don't know if anything will come of it, but we shall see.

I still very much desire to go back to the ranch next year, but we shall see. I am hoping to be apart of a ranch trip in November, but I'm waiting for that door to be fully opened, up to this point I haven't heard much. (I may have an opportunity to go to Texas!!)

Since last Saturday, when my brother Drew (17) and I worked from 10am to 4pm picking rocks out of the fields at the farm where I work, my knees have been bothering me. They were hurting enough this morning that I let me boss know, in case anything comes of this (I really haven't thought about it earlier in the week except that my knees have been feeling all achy.) Well, just be praying that they will be okay, and that I don't overdue it so much that I lay myself up. That wouldn't be too good.

I got my car inspected, thanks to Daddy. He fixed the rusts spots on my car so it could pass inspection. I'm not entirely driving yet, but I'll get there... all in GOD's Timing, that is.

Adam (my nephew) is now taking Preparation for Education classes at our house, and he just started this week. He'll go home for the weekend and come back again on Monday. Kayri and Trysten are home with their mommy, I miss having ALL of them here, but at the same time, Adam's a little older, so it's nice too.

Tomorrow Darra (older sister) is having her once a month Craft Day. It sounds like it'll be a good turnout tomorrow, too. It'll be nice to see the ladies from church. I'm hoping this will help me feel more comfortable on Sundays. (Since being home I've felt out-of-place quite a bit -- not sure why though, we have the sweetest, caring, and family-oriented church I know.) But also, I spent an entire year going to the Spring Creek Community Church near the ranch, where I helped with the children's church, and did puppets, and so, it's a little different than that at the Grange -- we're not completely a CHURCH yet.

Well, I need to get a shower (haven't had a chance to get mine yet after milking this morning), rest a little, and then I have some stuff I want to work on. -- Writing, prep for tomorrow, etc.

Always in His Love,
Denae ~ His Cowgirl Princess =:)

YIPPY!

I'm very excited about the news I've just received... which you'll have to wait to hear about.

Other than that, my car won't pass inspection, so be praying that things will work out, that either my car CAN be repaired inspected at a low cost, or that a lost cost new one will replace it. God knows best. We shall see.

Also, pray that I would keep my focus on God. I am having trouble feeling as though I'm not doing anything... but that's FAR from the truth. I'm studying, working in the farm, being home with my family... pursuing my God-given career posibilities, education, and/or talents... and looking toward the unknown future that God has for me.  Yes, the story is written, may I patient wait as God reads paragraph by paragraph to me, and not try to turn the next page before it's time too.

Always in His Love,

Denae ~ His Cowgirl Princess =:)
